Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when registering or editing your profile, including your email address, Second Life avatar name, selected family line, profile quote, and optional portrait. Passwords are stored only as secure password hashes.
When you verify in-world, we record your Second Life avatar UUID, avatar name, verification time, and the one-time verification record. We never ask for or store your Second Life or Bloodlines password.
Participation and account records
The portal records information needed to operate Labyrinth activities: event attendance and qualifying presence time, achievements, badges, titles, challenges, Legacy Points, Keys, marketplace purchases and deliveries, auction activity, notification preferences, rank, VIP access, and staff-confirmed merit.
Support tickets contain the category, subject, message, account identity, staff response, status, and relevant timestamps.
How we use information
Information is used to authenticate accounts, link the correct Second Life avatar, display member progress, maintain family-line records, prevent duplicate or unauthorized rewards, complete purchases, investigate problems, enforce community rules, and keep the service secure.
What other members can see
Your avatar name, family line, profile quote, portrait, rank, honors, achievements, and progression may appear within the member portal. Active Line Head and Co-Line Head names—and portraits when staff explicitly enables them—may appear in the public Line Heads directory. Email addresses, avatar UUIDs, support tickets, and security records are not displayed publicly.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell or rent member information. Information may be processed by the hosting, database, and technical service providers required to operate the portal. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate abuse, maintain service security, or comply with a valid legal obligation.
Retention
Account and profile records are kept while an account remains active. Sign-in sessions expire after 14 days. Portraits remain until replaced or removed. Participation, achievement, and virtual-currency ledgers may be retained or anonymized to protect the integrity of family records and prevent duplicate awards. Support and operational records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for administration, safety, and dispute resolution.
Your choices
You may update most profile information from your account. You may request access, correction, portrait removal, or account deletion through the Support page. Where a permanent participation or transaction record must be preserved, personal details may be removed or anonymized instead of deleting the underlying ledger entry.
Security and third-party services
We use access controls, expiring sessions, hashed passwords, restricted administrative tools, and replay protection for sensitive in-world actions. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so members should use a unique password and report suspected account access promptly.
Second Life and Bloodlines are third-party services with their own privacy practices. A link to an external profile or landmark does not transfer control of those services to Labyrinth Family. Automatic Bloodlines data import is not currently active.
Age requirement
The Labyrinth Family portal is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. Accounts known to belong to anyone under 18 may be restricted or removed.
Questions and requests
Until the public support email is established, contact Xander Evergarden or Layla Adder Lavielle in Second Life. Layla’s stable Second Life username is llpl23ttyp0150nll. Signed-in members may also submit a private support ticket through this website.
This notice may be updated as the portal develops. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
