Shared spaces.
Shared responsibility.

These standards guide how we communicate, send notices, use clan land, and care for the spaces we share as a family.

FAMILY SPACES

Labyrinth’s chats and land belong to the whole family. Kindness, good judgment, and respect for other people’s boundaries help everyone feel welcome and comfortable participating.

01

COMMUNICATION

Group Chat Etiquette

Let’s work together to keep our group chats kind, welcoming, and respectful. Our chats are shared family spaces, and our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable participating and supporting one another.

To help us maintain that environment, please keep the following in mind:

Venting about RL or SL issues

Please avoid using group chat to vent about personal problems, conflicts, or upsetting situations. We understand that sometimes you need someone to talk to. You are always welcome to privately reach out to your friends, family members, Liege, Line Head, or the Queen for support.

Cursing

Cursing is okay in moderation; however, directing curses, insults, or abusive language toward another person is not acceptable.

“I’m bored” messages

Second Life has countless things to explore and experience. Be sure to check our family events calendar as well. Our Events Team provides regular activities including classes, parties, achievements, field trips, movies, and more.

Inappropriate behavior

Harassment, racism, sexism, discrimination, gossiping, arguments, fighting, slander, unwanted sexual advances, and begging for L$ or handouts are not permitted in our group chats.

IF A PROBLEM OCCURS

If you have a rude, negative, or inappropriate interaction with another member in one of our group chats, please do not argue or continue the situation in chat. Open a Member Concern ticket instead. It will be routed privately to Layla Adder Lavielle for review.

Our group chats belong to all of us. Please be mindful of what you bring into them and help us keep them a positive place for the entire family.

FAMILY COMMUNICATIONS

Clan Notices

Group notices are used to share important information with the Labyrinth family, including:

  • Welcoming new family members
  • Clan announcements
  • Event announcements
  • Useful Bloodlines information and updates

Welcome Notice Etiquette

  • Please avoid intentionally sending another notice immediately after a welcome notice. We want our newest family member to have their moment and receive an uninterrupted welcome from the family.
  • Before sending a welcome notice, make sure the new member is online and has group chat open so they can see everyone’s messages. The easiest way to check is to ask them to say “hello” in group chat. Once you see their message, you can send the welcome notice.
  • Welcome notices are for new family members only. Please do not send welcome notices for members returning to Labyrinth.
  • Please do not send goodbye, departure, or “I’m leaving” notices. These notices can be extremely disruptive to the family. Sending one may also be considered if you later wish to return to Labyrinth.

Who Can Send Notices?

Members with the Luminary rank or above are able to send group notices.

If you need a welcome or event notice sent, please contact your Liege or Line Head first. If neither is available, visit the family sim and use one of our Online Boards to find someone who can assist you.

How to Send a Notice

  1. 01Open the Labyrinth Group Profile
  2. 02Select the Notices tab
  3. 03Click Create New Notice
  4. 04Enter your subject and message
  5. 05Attach a landmark or item if needed
  6. 06Review the details and click Send

Before sending, double-check the information in your notice—particularly names, dates, times, and landmarks.

OUR SHARED HOME

Clan Land Rules

We ask all family members to be respectful while on Labyrinth land and when visiting other Bloodlines-related sims. When wearing the Labyrinth group tag, remember that you represent our family within the wider Bloodlines community. Conduct that reflects poorly on Labyrinth may be considered regardless of where it occurs.

SIM RATINGMODERATE

Adult Content

Nudity, sexual behavior, BDSM roleplay, or openly sexual/BDSM attachments are not permitted on clan land. A discreet collar is acceptable provided it is not being actively used for BDSM roleplay or behavior.

Respectful Conduct

Harassment, pushing, griefing, trapping, weapons, disruptive spell HUDs, racism, sexism, discrimination, gossiping, fighting, slander, begging for L$ or handouts, and disruptive arguments are not permitted.

Rezzing on Clan Land

Family members are welcome to rez items on our sim, but please clean up after yourself. The sim is cleaned regularly, and unattended objects may be returned.

Please avoid rezzing overly large or prim-heavy objects, objects that cause unnecessary sim lag, and adult-rated items or content.

Other Vampire & Roleplay Systems

Labyrinth is a Bloodlines family, and our clan land is intended to support the Bloodlines community. Other systems or games—such as Progeny, Hunger, Angels & Demons, or similar systems—should not be actively played on our sim.

You may participate in other systems away from Labyrinth land; however, Labyrinth does not police disputes arising from those systems while members are off clan land.

Child Avatars

Child avatars are welcome within our family and on clan land. Adult avatars are under no obligation to take on a parental, guardian, or caregiving role toward them. Please respect everyone’s individual boundaries.

Above all, clan land is a shared family space. Please treat the sim, our visitors, and one another with respect.

04

CONSIDERATION

Courtesy

A little consideration goes a long way in making Labyrinth a welcoming and comfortable place for everyone. Please keep the following in mind while spending time on clan land:

Going AFK

If you are going AFK for an extended period, please use a visible AFK symbol when possible. Some are included in your welcome pack. This lets family members and guests know that you are unavailable and not intentionally ignoring them. We understand that sometimes you may forget or need to step away unexpectedly.

Include Those Around You

Please be mindful of everyone around you and make an effort to include others. For example, if most people are using voice and someone joins who is not voice-active, try to include them through local chat as well so they do not feel left out.

Handling Rule Violations & Concerns

If you witness a family member violating our rules or have a concern involving another member, open a Member Concern ticket on the website. It will be routed to Layla Adder Lavielle.

If a situation requires immediate intervention—such as fighting, griefing, or another serious disruption on clan land—contact Leadership or the Queen, Layla.

Do not investigate situations yourself, confront or reprimand other members, or attempt to handle disciplinary matters on behalf of the clan. Doing so can escalate the situation or create unnecessary conflict between members and lines.

REPORT A CONCERN

Once a concern has been reported, the information will be reviewed privately and appropriate action will be taken if necessary.
